Michael T. McAvoy M.D., M.S.
Dr. Michael T. McAvoy completed his undergraduate education at Hillsdale College and then received his Master’s in Science and his Medical Degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine. Dr. McAvoy completed a three-year Internal Medicine Residency at Saint Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan. While he was there, he received the Internal Medicine Intern of the Year award. Following his residency, Dr. McAvoy became Board Certified in Internal Medicine and worked for Ann Arbor Inpatient Physician Group. Dr. McAvoy then completed a two-year Fellowship in Allergy, Asthma and Clinical Immunology at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit.
Dr. McAvoy is a diplomat of the American Board of Allergy and Immunology, a conjoined Board of Internal Medicine and American Board of Pediatrics. Dr. McAvoy is a current member of the Michigan Allergy and Asthma Society and is a former president of the organization. He has also served as a clinical assistant professor for both Central Michigan University School of Medicine and Michigan State University School of Medicine.
Dr. McAvoy is married and has two children. In his free time, he enjoys water sports, snow skiing and traveling.
